Stoke is having a special Solstice screening on December 21st, 7 pm at the Hilo Palace Theater. From 6-7 audience members can enjoy pre-show festivities including happy hour with Kona Brewing Co, lobby entertainment by Aerial Arts Hawaii and red carpet photo opportunities.
Before the film kicks off at 7, guests can also enjoy a short musical performance and music video premiere by musician Bub Pratt, founder of Hilo darling Kukuau Studio. Pratt provided several tracks for the film, including originals and songs off his latest album, Oceans and Bridges.
As an added bonus, any audience member 21 and over who wears an animal mask will get a complimentary Kona Brew Co beer.
“The animal masks tie directly into the film,” co-director and writer/producer Zoe Eisenberg says in regard to the unique screening antics. “Consider it like our own version of a Rocky Horror Show screening.”
The directors and select cast members will be in attendance for a Q&A following the film, which will continue its run for a full weekend at the Hilo Palace, and move on to play in Kona and Volcano in January.
